Oprah & The Daily Beast Track the First Family’s Reading Habits
Great minds think alike! This week, The Daily Beast and Oprah.com published lists of books that Barack and Michelle Obama have been spotted or confirmed as reading. According to Samuel P. Jacobs’ assessment, the President’s selections show: “a predilection for presidential profiles, a weakness for explain-it-all bestsellers, and the occasional hankering for literary fiction.” Ashley Hamilton’s list focuses on the children’s books that the First Lady has been reading to her children as well as during storytime with local kids. None of these titles will be news to readers of this blog, of course. Still, it’s nice to see continued interest in Obama-bibliophilia!
